Old stone house in Vis, built in 17th century

This charming old stone house is located in the very center of Vis, at some 100 meters from the port and about 50 meters from the sea. It consists of 3 +1 floors: wine cellar on the ground floor turned into a studio apartment, then the first and the second floor, plus an attic space that was previously unused. Total area of the house is about 132 sqm gross. In the year 2011 a building permit was obtained for a roof project - 1,50 m was added in order to gain another floor – mansard. From the mansard there is a nice view of the whole bay and the harbor. The property includes an ideal part of the enclosed courtyard and an exterior stone staircase. From the courtyard on the first floor there is an exterior stone staircase, and on the front façade there is a stone balcony. The house is a Baroque cultural monument - under the protection of UNESCO. The property is currently being renovated, with a lot of attention being paid to details, as it can be seen on the photos. Vis island
